The Sedona Method Review
Probably one of the most popular self-help programs around, the Sedona Method was originally started by Lester Levenson and taken over by Hale Dwoskin in the 1990s.The Sedona Method practices a technique called ‘the release technique’, which releases your negative emotions about a particular problem.
The Sedona Method may be one of the older self-help systems, but I feel its approach is unique amongst today’s self-help product market. I recently took the ‘Effortless Wealth & Success’ course and I uncovered something so simple yet unique and new to me. I have been using positive visualisation combined with SMART goal setting for some time; I had become a firm believer in concentrating hard on my goals, visualising their success and deactivating any negative thought processes. Using these methods I have achieved an abundance of things in a very short space of time, but, there are a few wants and aims that have become a slight annoyance and seemingly impossible to achieve, in fact rather than being positive these aims have become negative and slightly stressful.
Then, Hale Dwoskin said something that made a huge difference to my life, he explained; “what if you were to allow yourself to let go of this goal, and release to the point where it’s ok whether or not you achieve this goal”. Hale explained that if you let go of the attachments and aversions you have around a particular topic, you create inner space, certainty and clarity which will heighten the chances of getting what you want. You may also realise that these goals are indeed small and unimportant, they may not even really be your goals, but goals imposed upon you by life or even family and friends. Ultimately, by using the release technique you will create the freedom and distance needed to recognise the importance and relevance of the goal, and, to finally realise why you have not been able to achieve your goal.
Positive Outcomes
What the Sedona Method has made me fully realise is that I need a mixture of self-help techniques to improve different aspects of my life, there is no ‘one fix all’ technique.
The Sedona Method can be applied to all areas of your life: relationships, money, stress, over eating, goal setting, etc. I am thrilled with the freedom the release technique has given me. It really has shifted some weight off of my shoulders, allowing me to achieve even more. I’ll admit, I found Hale Dwoskin laugh to be a little strange at first, but after a while you warm to it and see that it suits his slightly quirky character and certainly makes for a brighter listening experience.
The Sedona Package & Pricing
Sedona has stood the test of time for good reason, yet it has become a little outdated and very expensive for newcomers, especially considering that it the cost could be halved by providing the more desirable instant downloadable mp3 format rather than waiting for CDs to ship. Don’t get me wrong, you get a lot for your money and I am glad I made the investment a long time ago, but many of my friends who I recommended the program to couldn’t afford the $388.
The Sedona Method comes with the audio program which is 20 CDs, plus the following courses considered bonuses:
- Effortless Wealth & Success
- Effortless Relationships
- Effortless Health & Well Being
- A 198 page workbook
- A two-hour Sedona Method seminar on DVD Video and a one-hour bonus CD featuring Hale Dwoskin
- A copy of the New York Times best Selling book The Sedona Method by Hale Dwoskin.
Finding an Affordable Alternative
It’s a lot for $388, but it isn’t cheap in comparison to similar, newer “releasing programs,”and in these hard economic times I appreciate most people are looking for a cheaper alternative. One great alternative a number of my friends are using is the KISS Releasing System by a student of Lester Leverson, Stephen Seretan. You get pretty much the same course with all the information you need to learn the Sedona Releasing method for Manifesting Money, Success, Wellness, and Happiness. It costs 1/3 ($97) of the Sedona Method and provides great personal support.
